A Snapshot Of Just A Few Moments At The Retreat

“I can highly recommend this retreat for anyone who is dealing with separation or divorce. The end of a relationship is not a pleasant experience for anyone involved in it, but the specialists and healers that were at the retreat showed us how to end a relationship / marriage with dignity and your head held high.

You will get an idea of how to cope when things get really tough and find the right contacts when you need to get other professionals involved WITHOUT having to go to court. It was great value for money as well.” (Lee)

“The weekend was great, full of interesting facts advice and some fun stuff thrown in too 👍 ” (Steve)

Peace isn’t fluffy. Being able to navigate divorce peacefully whilst being pushed away and excluded from the parenting role; separating from a partner suffering from addictions; a fear of overwhelm over how to cope; collaborating with possibly narcissist and controlling coparents… that’s tough to do all alone.

At this Retreat for a small group of individuals (not couples – they come for some ‘me’ time) they join together with a collection of financial, wellbeing, parenting, legal and dispute resolution experts, all there to hold the space, to  work together to create a new strategy – a different way to deal with these traumatic situations. To empower. To inspire. To give back hope.

It’s going to be an interesting day!

Suzy Miller
Divorce Strategist

“Overall I found the course extremely useful despite my initial trepidation about attending, primarily due to my anxiety about discussing my situation and all the emotion associated with it. However, Suzy immediately made me feel at ease and the initial getting to know you meeting on Friday evening allowed time to informally relax in a comfortable environment and introduce myself to people who have had similar experiences. This made me feel less isolated.

The course over the weekend focused on a mixture of informative and helpful presentations detailing the practical considerations of divorce from mediation through to financial planning and also how to look after yourself during a stressful and extremely difficult time. The communication and role play sessions helped deal with confrontational situations in a better way and there were many suggested techniques to help lighten the emotional load and deal with these situations in a calm, rational and objective way.

I particularly found the sessions on communication and boundaries extremely useful to me and how effective co parenting and trying to avoid the toxic court system is clearly far less damaging to both the children and their parents.

The course was excellently run and sharing experiences with other Mum’s and Dad’s in similar positions really helped me to re focus my efforts on moving forward in a positive way. My journey is still a difficult one but now I know where to get help and how to keep moving forwards, keeping my children’s welfare at the heart of all the decisions I’m going to have to make over the next year or so. Families need Fathers groups have been really helpful and I was very grateful to receive a half priced ticket to the retreat from an anonymous FNF donor.”
